About Me

Hello! I'm Annie Gilchrist, Product Manager at high-growth legal tech start-up Lexoo.

A technical and creative all-rounder, I'm responsible for strategic product decisions, product management and design. I also regularly take on development work, and love getting sucked into code.

In a previous life I worked as a lawyer for global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP for four years, concentrating mainly on high profile litigation and regulatory investigations. I left when I realised why the law didn't fulfil me - because I love to create and build things.

Career

Jan 2019 - Present

Product Manager - Lexoo Ltd

Sole product manager with mentorship from Devin Hunt. Key work has included:

- Leading discovery for our main new business proposition (incl. MVP process and JTBD interviews with GCs).

- Leading the technical team responsible for core business functions.

- Leading key infrastructure projects to automate our payments and accounting systems.

- Managing and contributing to the creation and implementation of a new design system.

- Implementing a number of smaller technical projects by myself.

2014 - 2018

Associate (Solicitor) - Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP

I have considerable experience of advisory, transactional and litigious work and spent 6 months seconded to our Berlin office.

Key work included a high profile SFO investigation where I ran my own work-stream, and a multi-million-pound whistleblowing case where I was primarily responsible for 3 of our client’s 8 witnesses.

Workshops: I have just started running product workshops in my spare time. Recent workshops have included 'How to build a great MVP' for students at Le Wagon, and an internal workshop at Lexoo using Lego Serious Play to train employees on our security policies.
